2010 - 2011 Mayor Councillor R. H. McNicholl Function: Thursday June 17, 2010. Reception for Majors Lynne and Nigel Collins
The Mayor and Mayoress hosted a reception in the Mayor’s parlour for Majors Lynne and Nigel Collins of the Salvation Army on Thursday June 17.
The occasion provided an opportunity for Councillor McNicholl to bid farewell to the Majors as they were leaving the Island after six years to take up a posting in Cwmbran, South Wales and to present them with a set of cufflinks, a pin and plaque bearing the Borough Arms.
Following the presentation members of the Salvation Army choir sang a selection of hymns, during which Councillor and Mrs McNicholl joined in the singing.
