Opening Hours - Shops - Monday to Saturday 9.00am to 5.30pm or 6.00pm, Sundays - some shops are open, times vary.
Banks - Monday to Friday, generally 9.30am to 4.30pm. Isle of Man Bank, Regent Street Branch is also open from 9.30am to 1.30pm on Saturdays.
Licensing Hours - Isle of Man legislation has introduced 24-hour opening for pubs, bars and off-licences. This means that all licensed premises, including nightclubs, restaurants and the Douglas casino now have the option to serve alcohol 24 hours a day. Check individual premises for opening times and food serving times.
Bureaux de Change - to change Euros and any other currency. Bureaux de Change located at Isle of Man Bank, Athol Street Branch 9.30am to 4.30pm Mon to Fri, Money Express, Victoria Street and Thomas Cook, Strand Street. Some shops and restaurants accept Euros.

Mobile Phones - It is illegal to drive whilst using a handheld Mobile Phone. The maximum fine is £1,000. All UK and Ireland service providers, except for Orange, can operate on the Island - arrange with your network provider for all international bars to be lifted.
Parking Disks - some areas of Douglas offer free on-street parking for up to 2 hours in designated 'Disc Zones.' Vehicles must display a Parking Disc showing the time of arrival - these may be obtained from the Department of Transport reception on the ground floor in the Sea Terminal.
