Leisure Services Committee Objectives
To ensure within the overall concepts of the Council for efficiency, economy and effective use of resources and so far as possible and in a manner commensurate with public accountability:-
The continuation of high standards offered to all sections of the general public by the provision of public open spaces, parks and parklands and the Pulrose Golf Course;
Continuity of operation of the Horse Tram Service;
The maintenance of the Public Library as a lending facility and as a centre for reference; and
The provision of floral decorations and horticultural services to all Departments of and premises belonging to the Council, to conferences and events and attractions whether within or without Douglas and as authorised by the Town Clerk & Chief Executive or the Committee.
