Buskers' honesty and public-spiritedness recognised by Her Worship

Buskers Kizzie Puzzar (extreme left) and Jess O'Donnell (extreme right) were guests of the Mayor at the town hall when Her Worship thanked them on behalf of the Council for their honesty and public-spiritedness for returning £150 in cash dropped by a vulnerable adult. in their collection tin while performing

The pair said they felt uneasy about accepting it so went to the Douglas Town Centre Management office, which licences town centre buskers..The police were contacted who checked the CCTV, identified the gentleman, who had carers, and made contact with him and the buskers' parents. The police arranged for the money to be returned,  prompting the gentleman and his carers to say how their faith in the honesty and decency of people - and especially young people - had been restored.
