Refuse Collection Vehicle Refuse Collection Vehicle

The waste management section, operated by the Environment and Regeneration Department, is responsible for domestic refuse collection – including a kerbside recycling collection service – and general street cleansing throughout the Borough.

The waste management section collects domestic refuse weekly and provides a fortnightly kerbside collection service.

Please ensure wheeled bins have their lids closed and are placed accessibly outside the property before 6am on the day of collection.

For any additional, bulky or inappropriate for domestic disposal waste, please take it to the eastern district civic amenity site located at Middle River Industrial Estate, Pulrose Road, Douglas.

The service's other main function, street cleansing, is undertaken 364 days a year and includes litter clearing, chewing gum removal and the emptying of litter and dog waste bins.
