The Council Chamber of Douglas Town Hall holds
The chamber provides an imposing setting for the ceremonies and has disabled and lift access
Douglas Town Hall is registered with the Isle of Man Civil Registry to conduct Civil Ceremonies and holds ‘approved place’ status for the solemnisation of marriages and formation of civil partnerships.
The Town Hall is a landmark building which has been at the heart of civic life in the Borough since 1900 – steeped in history it offers a beautiful venue for couples.
If you are looking for truly unique venue for your civil ceremony then Douglas Town Hall is the choice for you. The Council Chamber offers an imposing setting which acts as a stunning backdrop for photographs.
Two areas of the Town Hall have been approved for ceremonies. The Council Chamber for up to 70 guests, and the Committee Room for a more intimate setting, for up to 15 guests. You can tailor your ceremony by choosing music, readings or poetry.
Your Civil Ceremony package includes:
Room Hire – Full use of the Town Hall facilities for up to 4 hours
Chair cover and sashes
Experienced team to help ensure your day runs smoothly
Music system – we will play your choice of music at chosen times throughout the ceremony
Once a reservation is made with the Town Hall, arrangements will also need to be made to book your Registrar.
The cost of your civil ceremony in the Council Chamber will be £570
The cost of your civil ceremony in the Committee Room will be £420
Canapés and Drinks Reception
Consider maximising the full potential of the venue and holding a drinks / canapés reception at the conclusion of your ceremony. Use of the building for up to 4 hours is included in your hire costs.

Foliage and floral decorations are available to hire – our Park’s service will deliver your chosen display to the venue.
