With over 20 years management experience in the private sector, Iain brings a wealth of experience from automotive, construction and engineering backgrounds, balanced against a strong customer service experience. Iain has been with the Council  since 2021.

His leadership reflects a commitment to excellence, sustainability, and innovation in serving the community.

The Environment & Regeneration Department is the Council’s largest, comprising around 150 dedicated staff and delivering a diverse portfolio of essential and operational public-facing services. Driven by the core values of quality, efficiency, sustainability, and value for money, the department plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life across Douglas and is proud to deliver these services.

In addition to maintaining daily services, the team initiates city-centre events and spearheads public realm improvement projects—transforming spaces and strengthening civic pride whenever funding opportunities arise.
