Bus is the most readily available means of public transport. In Douglas the main bus centre is on Lord Street from where buses serve most areas of the Island. See 'Useful Links' for details.  

 

Taxis are available from several local taxi companies and can also be picked up from several taxi ranks throughout the town.

  

 

  

 

 

 

 

Seasonal Transport

Seasonal public transport options include the Douglas horse trams, Manx Electric Railway and Isle of Man steam railway. The Steam and Electric Railways link Douglas to the north and south of the Island. See details opposite.

Can I buy multiple journey bus tickets?

12 journey ‘bus rider’ tickets can be purchased from the information desk at the Welcome Centre in the Sea Terminal.

 

What is a ‘half’ ticket?
