His sentiments were echoed by Denzil Williams, a director of RL360, sponsor of the Best Overall School Daffodil, who said the students had shown ‘great creativity’ before he presented the winner, 10-year-old Ben Walmsley from Henry Bloom Noble (Fairfield site) School, with the trophy and £100 of book vouchers for his school.
The prize for the Overall School Best Decorated Pot, sponsored by Gregory and Moore Logistics Training Services went to nine-year-old Rosch Hughes from Cronk y Berry School.
For the competition the Council’s parks services provided bulbs and growing material to the borough's primary schools.
