His Worship launched the 2018 Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal in the Strand Shopping Cente on Saturday October 27, where he was joined by the Mayoress and the President of Tynwald and Royal British Legion Isle of Man county president the Hon Steve Rodan MLC and chairman Ray Ferguson, also members of the Isle of Man Sea Cadets and the Ellan Vannin Pipes and Drums. A choir from Scoill Vallajeelt and poetry readings from students at Ballakermeen High School completed the event where His Worship urged the people of the Isle of Man to support the campaign and make 2018 a record 44th year for fundraising.
