COVID 19: Key workers recognised

The Mayor and Mayoress, Councillor Jon Joughin JP and Mrs Angela Joughin, held a series of receptions at Douglas Town Hall to acknowledge the selfless efforts of key workers in the island's ambulance, nursing and postal services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Mayor and Mayoress also visited the Ballacottier Service Centre to meet with some of the Council's frontline workers on Thursday October 29 to thank them for their hard work and professionalism throughout the Covid-19 lockdown period. Workers recognised were drawn principally from parks, the crematorium, Douglas golf course and waste management.
